When we created AYA, we weren’t just designing products. We were creating something we felt we needed ourselves - small, beautiful rituals that help us pause, reset and reconnect.
AYA has always been about self-care in its truest sense. Not indulgence. Not escape. But those quiet moments that help you come back to yourself.
From the beginning, we knew the brand had to reflect that feeling.
Why “AYA”?
The name AYA is simple, symmetrical and balanced. It’s a Japanese name that can mean design, beauty or colour - and that felt quietly powerful to us.
We’ve always been inspired by the East. Every trip to Japan brought new discoveries - a different way of approaching design, of honouring craftsmanship, of finding beauty in restraint. There’s a calm confidence in Japanese aesthetics. Nothing is overworked. Nothing is unnecessary.
AYA mirrors that philosophy.
It reads the same forwards and backwards. It feels centred. Balanced. Calm. And that balance is at the heart of everything we create.

The Triple Heart
If you’ve seen our mark, you’ll notice three hearts gently turning inward.
That detail matters.
The heart is universally understood as a symbol of care and love. But AYA is about self-love - the kind that begins quietly within. So instead of facing outward, our hearts face inward. They point back to you.
Each heart represents one of the three areas we believe true self-care touches:
-
Physical
-
Mental
-
Spiritual
Because real wellbeing isn’t one-dimensional. It’s layered. Connected. Holistic.

A Modern Emblem
When we were refining the mark, we were drawn to the simplicity of traditional Japanese family crests, known as kamon.
These ancient symbols were beautifully minimal. Symmetrical. Instantly recognisable. They carried meaning without complexity.
A kamon wasn’t loud or decorative for the sake of it. It was intentional. Every curve mattered.
That philosophy resonated deeply with us.
In many ways, the AYA mark is our modern emblem, not representing a family lineage, but representing something just as important: your relationship with yourself.
Designed to Feel Good
Our products are crafted to be as beautiful as they are useful. We believe the objects you surround yourself with influence how you feel. When something is thoughtfully designed, it elevates the everyday.
That’s why AYA exists at the intersection of pleasure and wellness. Because self-care should feel good - not clinical, not complicated, not intimidating.
Just simple. Supportive. Restorative.
Relax. Restore. Rejuvenate.
Three words. Three hearts. A quiet reminder that taking care of yourself isn’t selfish, it’s essential.
And if our symbol does anything, we hope it gently reminds you to turn inward, even for just a moment.
